After meeting Jacqui a couple of years ago at an event, I decided to get back in touch with her and arrange a team building day for our staff team. The day was thoroughly enjoyable for the whole team as well as being challenging and informative. The crime scene activity brought out the teams competitive side as well as ensuring that individuals worked together to ‘solve the crime’.
I would recommend Pulse CSI for those looking for a corporate team building for their staff, as it ensures collaborative working, critical thinking and problem solving as well as having a bit of fun whilst doing it!

Jacqui Thompson of PULSE delivered an excellent half-day ‘CS! Nottingham’ workshop at our recent Prince’s Trust Staff Away Day. The workshop combined an interactive approach to teaching the basics of scenes-of-crime forensics with a practical team-based analysis of a crime scene. It delivered by effectively engaging all staff, by teaching them new skills in an entertaining manner and by facilitating some great team building. We particularly liked the ‘toys’ available and the dressing up!”

We ran a CSI day as a team-building exercise for our local area team of 26 people early last year. I had a very positive response from the rest of the team to say how much they enjoyed the day. It was really hard work trying to keep the content of the day a secret in order to maximise the surprise element and I think we managed to do a pretty good job (with the exception of one or two super-sleuths). I think that using the crime scene house at Riseholme really was the icing on the cake and it really added to the overall experience. We are quite a diverse team and cover a wide area with many of the staff being remote workers.
It’s not always possible for us to get together with all of our colleagues, this presented a great opportunity for the team to use their current skills set in a totally new environment and it gave us all the chance to work together with our office-based colleagues. Sending through the photos of the day on the disc was a lovely idea and – it provided a nice reminder of a very interesting and enjoyable day. It was great for me to be able to hand over all responsibility on the day and to just join in with everyone else and not to have to plan a thing! Well done Jacqui – I realise how much effort went on ‘behind the scenes’ to ensure that we had a very memorable experience.”
